There was just one game day in Week 1. Opening night of the 2024-25 boys' regular season produced a lot of one sided affairs, with four schools (Hendricks, North Forsyth, South Forsyth, and Vickery Creek) coming out on top in both the 7th and 8th grade games. Of those eight games, just one result was by under 14 points. DeSana (won 8th grade game) and Riverwatch (won 7th grade game) were the only two teams to split their games last Thursday.
North Forsyth put up the most points in 7th (50) and 8th grade (60). Hendricks equaled the most points in 7th grade (50).
There are two game days scheduled for Week 2. This week's action starts on Tuesday night with five games. Lakeside begins their campaign after having last week's opener off. The Lions travel to Hendricks Middle School to take on the Hawks. Hendricks (1-0, 1-0) won both of their season openers last week.
North Forsyth (1-0, 1-0) faces off against their rivals, Little Mill (0-1, 0-1), looking to stay hot after two wins over Piney Grove last week. The Mustangs will try to bounce back from two defeats.
Liberty (0-1, 0-1) is in the same boat as Little Mill after having a rough go of it last week. The Patriots head to Riverwatch (1-0, 0-1), which split their two games on opening night.
Otwell (0-1, 0-1) dropped their first two games of the season as well. The Bulldogs head south this week to face off with South Forsyth (1-0, 1-0). Along with North Forsyth, the Eagles had two impressive wins in their first outings of the year.
DeSana (0-1, 1-0) split their opening games with Riverwatch and now take on Vickery Creek (1-0, 1-0). The Vipers won both of their games to start the season.
Piney Grove (0-1, 0-1) gets Tuesday night off as they prepare to play Riverwatch on Thursday.
There will be a short write up for the games being contested Thursday, November 21, 2024 after the completion of Tuesday night's games. Here is an early look at the contests taking place on Thursday night. These will be the last games before the Thanksgiving break next week.
