Week 2 of the 2024-25 season tipped off on Tuesday night. Just like last week's games, four schools swept both their 7th and 8th grade games. Three of those schools duplicated the feat this week.
Hendricks (2-0, 2-0), North Forsyth (2-0, 2-0), and South Forsyth (2-0, 2-0) have sprinted out of the gates with perfect records. Each of the teams (6 total combined with 7th and 8th grade) have won all their games so far by 14 points or more. North Forsyth has scored at least 50 points in their first four games. On the other side of the ball, Hendricks has only given up more than 20 points in one of their four games.
Riverwatch (2-0, 1-1) was the other team to pull off a sweep of 7th and 8th grade games on Tuesday. The Panthers have had their fair share of close contests already, with three of their four games being decided by 6 points or less.
For the second gameday in a row, DeSana was involved in the only games to be split between the two teams in action. This week, the Dragons picked up a win on the 8th grade side, while Vickery Creek took the victory in 7th grade.
In 7th grade, Hendricks is currently leading the league in scoring margin, with an average differential of 34.0 points (49.5-15.5). South Forsyth is leading 8th grade in this category winning by an average score of 48.5-19.0 (29.5 differential).
North Forsyth is leading both 7th (52.5) and 8th (56.5) grade in points per game. Hendricks has given up the fewest points in 7th grade with their opponents scoring just 15.5 points per game. South Forsyth is only giving up 19.0 points per game to lead the 8th grade in the fewest points allowed.
Five teams (HMS, NFMS, RMS, SFMS, and VCMS) sit atop of the standings in 7th grade with 2-0 records. Two of those teams square off tonight (VCMS @ NFMS). All the other schools have picked up at least one loss heading into the third games of the season.
Four teams (DMS, HMS, NFMS, and SFMS) remain undefeated through two games in 8th grade. Just like 7th grade, two of those teams play each other tonight (HMS @ DMS). Four teams have just one loss and three have dropped their first two contests.
