Week 4 brought some clarity to the playoff race, especially in the East Division. Lakeside (3-0) returned to action after their bye week and picked up a big win over Piney Grove (1-3), 50-22. The Lions are now in first place by themselves and already have a win over second place South Forsyth.
South Forsyth (3-1) kept pace with Lakeside by defeating Riverwatch (1-2), 36-0. It was the second straight shutout for the Eagles and after just four games, they are outscoring their opponents by more than 25 points a game.
The West Division looks like a three team race. Little Mill (4-0) continued their strong start to the year with their third straight shutout, 28-0 over Hendricks (2-2). The Mustangs have not given up any points to their opponents in divisional play thus far.
North Forsyth (3-1) jumped all over Vickery Creek (0-4) early on in their contest and coasted to a 52-14 victory. The win keeps the Wildcats tied with Little Mill atop the West Division standings. It also sets the stage for a battle of the unbeatens in the division next week.
Liberty (2-1) kept their playoff hopes alive after they defeated Otwell (0-4), 48-0. The Patriots sit just one game back in the West Division standings, but their one loss is to division leading North Forsyth in Week 3.
