The Lakeside Lions defeated the Riverwatch Panthers in a sudden death playoff to win the 2025 Forsyth County Middle School Golf Championship. The dramatic win capped off a red-hot finish to Lakeside’s season, which included a nail-biting victory over the reigning champs earlier in the week. Over the course of seventy-two holes played in their last two encounters, just one stroke separated the two squads.
DeSana clinched third place, mirroring their strong showing at the County Invitational earlier this year. South Forsyth and North Forsyth also made impressive strides, each improving on their early-season performances to secure spots in the top five on the final leaderboard.
Lakeside’s Howar Li claimed the boys' individual title with an even-par 36 at Polo Fields, his second straight round at par. Hendricks' Karsten Vernon secured second in a playoff with a clutch par on the 9th, while South Forsyth’s Ryder Duncan rounded out the podium in third.
It was a clean sweep on the girls' side as Riverwatch claimed the top three spots. Kate Ahn was a dominant force in 2025, winning both county events. Liv Kim impressed from the team’s sixth spot, finishing second. Ebin Hong wrapped up a strong campaign with her third place result.

DeSana had a strong run in the regular season, going undefeated with two ties. The Dragons also fared well in the two county tournaments. North Forsyth had a strong regular season, winning nine of their twelve matchups.
