2025 Forsyth County Middle School Football Season Information

The 2025 Forsyth County middle school football season is officially here! This year’s schedule is packed with exciting matchups, including a Week 1 championship rematch, division showdowns, and key playoff previews. Mark your calendars for an action-packed fall filled with spirited competition and rising stars.

Forsyth County middle school football features only 7th and 8th graders, meaning every year brings significant roster turnover as players graduate to high school and new athletes step up. With such a fast-changing roster landscape, each season truly starts fresh—and any team can emerge as a contender.

Adding to the intensity, only four teams make the playoffs each year, making the race for those spots extremely competitive. With new talent, fresh rivalries, and high stakes, the 2025 season promises plenty of surprises and fierce battles for playoff positioning.

The league’s 11 teams are split into two divisions, with playoff seeding determined by division records. The East Division features five schools, mostly located in the southeastern portion of the county, while the West Division’s six teams are more spread out, ranging from the southwest to the central northern areas.

Game Information

Kickoff Times: Most games start at 6:30 PM, consistent with last season.

Game Days: Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Forsyth County high school stadiums.

A New Season, New Opportunities

The 2025 season begins on Tuesday, August 12th and culminates on Tuesday, October 21st with the FCMS Championship Game. Each school will play seven regular season games over the course of eight weeks. The East Division schools will compete in four Divisional games, and the West Division plays in five Divisional contests.

Each team receives one bye week. For weeks 1-6 & 8, just one team is scheduled to be off. Week 7 sees four teams with a bye week. Fall break is between weeks 6 & 7 (September 22nd-26th). No regular season games will take place that week.

This year's semifinals will be held on Tuesday, October 14th and the season will conclude the following week on Tuesday, October 21st with the FCMS Championship Game at Forsyth Central High School.
