The Liberty Patriots completed a perfect season in style, claiming the 2025 girls track championship with a 13-point victory over South Forsyth, 113.5 to 100.5. The two teams were neck-and-neck all season long, with South Forsyth winning every event they entered—except for their lone head-to-head defeat to Liberty back in Week 3.
Vickery Creek secured third place with 73.0 points, capping off a consistent season that saw the Vipers place first or second in every meet. Lakeside finished fourth with 53.0 points, while North Forsyth rounded out the top five with 42.0.
Liberty’s championship win was fueled by an impressively well-rounded team effort. The Patriots were the only squad—boys or girls—to score in every event, showcasing exceptional depth and consistency. They led all teams by scoring the most points in seven of the twelve events, a testament to their balance across disciplines.
South Forsyth remained a formidable contender throughout, especially on the track. The Eagles outscored Liberty in track events 75.5 to 72.0 and posted double-digit points in five different events, proving their strength in speed and endurance.
However, the pivotal moment may have come in the high jump, where Liberty earned a crucial 15 points, while South Forsyth failed to score—swinging the overall championship outcome firmly in the Patriots' favor.
Brooklyn Scott of South Forsyth capped off a sensational year by topping the individual standings with 27.50 points. Scott showcased her speed and versatility, winning both the 100 meter and 200 meter dashes, and placing third in the long jump—a dominant showing that cemented her status as one of the league's top all-around performers.
The next three places in the standings were occupied with three of Liberty's top athletes. Emma Bourque led the charge to the Patriots' championship scoring 26.50 points. Bourque showed off her dual threat abilities, as well, posting a victory in the high jump and a second place finish in the 400 meter dash. She also helped lead her 4 X 400 meter relay team to a win.
Lindy Ledden placed third overall with 21.00 points. It was another solid performance by Liberty's top performer throughout the season. Ledden won the 100 meter hurdles and helped her 4 X 100 meter relay team to a victory.
There was a tie for fourth place between Hartley Hurt and Himari Otaki of South Forsyth with 20.00 points a piece. Another multi faceted athlete, Hurt placed first in the shot put and was also a part of the winning 4 X 100 meter relay team. Otaki turned in a dominant distance double, capturing both the 800 meter and 1600 meter titles with commanding performances.
